(1) For application builds that require high resolution, the PSM8 series differential adjusters provide 8mm of adjustable travel, and the dial and linear scale on the differential adjuster sleeve provide calibrated displacement readings. The spherical tip is used to ensure a single point of contact between the adjuster and the contact surface.
(2) The differential adjuster uses two internal leadscrews, one to push the center spindle forward with a resolution of 0.35mm per revolution and the other to pull it back with an accuracy of 0.25mm per revolution. Therefore, the total displacement of the central spindle is only 100 μm per revolution of the graduated knob. The division of the fine adjustment knob is 2µm; while the coarse adjustment is 0.35mm, and the coarse adjustment mechanism can be locked by the lock ring during fine adjustment.
Before installation, the adjuster should be lightly lubricated and then manually screwed into the bushing. Make sure that thread crosstalk does not occur to avoid damage to the adjuster and bushing.
