Description

(1) The CWP-C circular wedge prism combination is a precision manual beam steering device, which is very suitable for laser beam manipulation applications and can deflect the beam that is normally incident on the vertical surface of the prism. The wedge-shaped prism mount contains a pair of circular wedge-shaped prisms, which have a continuous coarse adjustment range of 360°, and can be roughly adjusted manually with knurled rings located at the front and rear of the mount. After adjusting and calibrating the beam, lock it with the set screws on the upper and lower ends.

(2) A wedge prism (also known as a wedge prism) is an optical device with an oblique surface, which is mainly used for beam control deviation in the optical field. The angle of inclination on both sides of the wedge prism is relatively small. It can deflect the light path to the thicker side. If only one wedge prism is used, the incident light path can be offset by a certain angle. When two wedge prisms are used in combination, they can be used as an anamorphic prism, mainly for correcting the laser beam. In the optical field, the wedge prism is an ideal optical path adjustment device. The CWP-C wedge prism mount assembly individually controls the rotation of each prism to adjust the direction of the outgoing beam.

The beam deflection angle δ can be obtained from the refractive index n and the wedge angle α;

δ=sin-1(n sinα)-α=(n-1)α

Refractive index n: BK7 material n=1.517; synthetic quartz n=1.458; (visible spectrum region, vertical incidence)

(3) The mounting seat has four through holes with a pitch of 30mm, which is compatible with our Ø6mm cage rod and 30mm cage system. The side of each through hole is accompanied by a set screw, which can be placed in place with a 1.5mm hexagon wrench or a balldriver. And an M4 threaded hole at the bottom, allowing direct installation on our 12mm post.

(4) The mounting base can be directly applied to the support of the cage system, and a single mounting base can be fixed and supported. Because of its sufficient thickness, it has more stable application than other thin cage plates.
