Optical commonly used thread size standard

This is the unique thread of Thorlabs in the United States, not the commonly used optical thread. SM is the code for the thread of the sewing machine in terms of thread expression, but this company in the United States uses it to connect the internal and external threads of the optical lens and the sleeve. The nature of the thread is UNS, and the United States has a special thread with a tolerance accuracy of 2A / 2B. The special place of this thread is 40 teeth per inch regardless of the diameter. Description:

(1) The cage plate adapter provides a convenient way to couple 30 mm and 60 mm cage components through our Ø6mm cage rods. Different thick shapes are very suitable for situations where axial space is limited. The SM1 (1.035"-40) screw hole in the middle can directly install optical components of different thicknesses.

(2) LPCM series are available in different thickness specifications. Different thickness shapes can be installed with different thickness optical components:

LPCM-A: Compatible with SM1 thread, can install Ø1" optics with a maximum thickness of 8mm;

LPCM-B: Compatible with SM1 thread, can install Ø1" optics with a maximum thickness of 9mm;

LPCM-C: Three-point positioning, can install the thinnest Ø1" optical element with a thickness of 3mm;

LPCM-D: Compatible with SM1 thread, can install Ø1" optics with a maximum thickness of 2mm;

CSM-3060A: Compatible with SM1 thread, can install Ø1" optics with a maximum thickness of 8.5mm;

(3) There are two set screws on the side of each cage rod through hole, which can be fixed by a 1.3mm hexagon wrench. It also has M4 screw holes for mounting Ø12mm post. The surface with M4 tapped holes is not wide enough to install Ø1" posts.
